world cup v triathlon

Just leaned that England's next game is Sunday afternoon. Are we going to have enough competitors turn up? Are we going to lose marshals as they drift away at 2.30 to watch the game?

Curse the damned football!

Tim i will be at the Strangers Inn with my  marshals jacket ( but only until kick-off )  only joking !!   also doubt that many Triathletes are fans especially of an overrated England team

I am sure the club members realise how important the triathlons are to the club and will all be there to support you Tim.

Re: world cup v triathlon

I have had some messages of support and it is making me much more comfortable with our ability to put on a good event on Sunday. This really is the best little running club in the world!

Thank you all.

Hi Barry

Many thanks for the offer of help. When you know for sure if you are available please let me know on 07831 628 941, phone or text is fine.

At the moment I think i have marshals in the essential places but there are always spaces in the 'nice-to-have' places.

Many thanks

Re: world cup v triathlon

Just wanted to say a big thank you and well done to Dennis and Tim for this weekend-it must have been another hugely successful pair of events for the club! Really enjoyed both days as both a helper and a competitor smile Seriously in awe of all those who did the full tri today though....it was great weather for spectators and paddlers, but bloody hard work to compete in. I only did the run, and that had me feeling like one of those ice creams people kept eating in front of me on the prom tongue Some great results for the club in both events- a real testament to the training they've all put in and the extra tri-specific sessions that have been organised. Well done all...

Re: world cup v triathlon

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that gave us time, effort, possessions, support, ideas, expertise, labour, sweat, and much else to make the weekend's events so successful. Especially thanks to those that filled any gaps at the last minute, it helps makes the most stressful weekend of the year a real joy. It amazes me how well it all comes together on the day.

Dennis and I get lots of credit for these events but without all of you doing something we're just two blokes carrying clipboards.

Re: world cup v triathlon

I would like to echo all that Tim has said. Just finished returning the last items of gear. The press report of the event should be in this weeks Standard. The reporter expects we will get a full double-page spread to highlight all the achievements from our merry band of athletes. Well done to everyone, especially those who took part for the first time and did so well.
